Job Location: Ashland, Virginia (metro-Richmond, Virginia)
CNC machinist for large boring mill machines in well-established, ASME Section VIII certified, custom machine shop that can accommodate small parts as well as large parts in excess of 30 feet long and weighing as much as 20 tons. Work in a 75,000 square foot facility located on 17 acres adjacent to I95 just north of Richmond, Virginia. Must be able to read mechanical blueprints and use CAD/CAM resources for operation, programming and set-up of an extensive range of equipment as specified at WestEngineering.com (includes 2 and 4 axis CNC lathes). Precision machining, high surface finish requirements and unusual machine part geometry are the norm at our "one source responsibility" facility.
Candidates for employment must be able to maintain exacting quality and safety standards, read and write in English, keep accurate records, pay strong attention to details, have ability to effectively verbally communicate and follow directions, and to maintain equipment and supplies. Minimum experience required: 8 years.
